The youngest ever Best Actress Oscar nominee 2013


Shouldn't she be playing on school playing ground with childreen of her age? Well apparently no..! the 9-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis has just set a record by making history. Watch preview after the cut...



Louisiana-born Wallis schoolgirl, who had no previous acting experience before her debut, has been announced as the youngest ever Oscar nominee for Best Actress in a Leading Role, in the film Beasts of The Southern Wild.



This record was previously held by Keisha Castle-Hughes, whom at age 13 was nominated for Whale Rider 2003.

Wallis, was just five when she auditioned for the role of Hushpuppy in the critically acclaimed Beasts of the Southern Wild.
